Some other courses I can recommend that aren’t as pricey as the ones just mentioned would be The 500 Club, Coyote Lakes, Kokopelli, Viewpoint and Painted Mountain.
You don’t take a winter vacation to play golf? How about hiking some of the many trails we have in the area. Take advantage of the cool winter temperatures, summer hiking in this area has to be done either at night or very early in the morning. South Mountain, Camelback Mountain and the Superstition Mountain areas are some terrific locations to check out. There are also a number of firms in the locale that lease mountain bikes if walking isn’t for you. Sometimes just hanging out at the pool with a good book and your favorite cocktail is pretty hard to beat. Other activities many visitors come to our state for in the winter are tennis, shopping, fishing and sight seeing.
